The “ Financial Literacy for Immigrants for Women (FLY)” of the EU project named “Financial Literacy for Immigrants Women (FLY)” numbered 2022-1-NO01-KA220- ADU-000088438, in which our university is a partner, was held on 23 December 2022 at MCBU.

As a finance expert, Project Coordinator Prof.Dr. Hatice YURTSEVER, Project Researcher Assoc. Dr. Füsun KÜÇÜKBAY, Project Researcher Dr. Lecturer Lale YAKUPOĞLU, as an education specialist Assoc. Dr. Gulenaz SELÇUK, Dr. Kübra YENEL, as an expert on migration and women’s studies, Assoc. Dr. Duygu ALPTEKIN, Dr. Lecturer Gülşen GERŞİL, Dr. Şeyma KARAMEŞE participated.

At the workshop, Prof. Dr. Hatice Yurtsever gave information about the project and emphasized that with this project, an innovative training program on financial literacy that can be used by Women Migrants with insufficient knowledge and competence will be written. Then, Prof. Dr. Hatice YURTSEVER gave information about women immigrants in our country and the training given to them, based on the desk research report prepared within the scope of the project. In the continuation of the workshop, positive and negative situations faced by women immigrants in our country were evaluated by using SWOT Analysis and KISS Methodology. In addition, separate questions were directed to migration experts, trainers/researchers and immigrants in the workshop, and issues to be considered in the creation of financial literacy training content for women immigrants were determined.

Organized by the association Prios Vest As (Norway), together with Manisa Celal Bayar University (Turkey), MPIRMPAKOS D. & SIA O.E. (Greece), INDEPCIE SCA (Spain), ASOCIATIA EDULIFELONG (Romania) partner institutions, the project will be completed in February 2024.
